The Université Paris-Saclay, CentraleSupélec, and ENS Paris-Saclay opened the Lumen in September 2023, located at the centre of the Paris-Saclay campus. It offers a wide range of services to support student success and host cultural and scientific activities.

The Libraries, Information and Open Science Department, the Université Paris-Saclay Design Centre (Design Spot), and the Université Paris-Saclay Culture, Arts, Sciences, and Society Department (Diagonale) contribute significantly to the daily life at Lumen.

The cocktail reception will be held on the ground level, with additional space in the Hall d’Exposition on the first floor. Across the different levels of Lumen, areas are dedicated year-round to exhibitions, providing students and researchers calm spaces for reflection and discovery. Conceived by the architectural duo Emmanuelle and Laurent Beaudouin in collaboration with MGM Arquitectos, this serenity is enhanced by the building’s unique architectural design: a striking, triangular glass structure wrapped in a delicate layer of white aluminum slats.

Getting to Lumen from the conference is very easy: it's a 5 minute walk down the same street as the main AFSE Congress venue at ENS Paris-Saclay.
